Museum Pass Policy

 

Must be a Paramus resident  18 years of age or older.

Must present a valid Photo ID and Paramus Library card in good standing (no fines over $10).

Passes are reserved on a first come first served basis.

Passes are loaned for 3  days.

Passes cannot be renewed.

Patrons can only reserve one pass at a time daily.

A pass can only be resereved once every 30 days.

Passes must be returned to a service desk in the library, they cannot be returned to another library or left in the book drop.

Failure to pick up passes at the reserved date and time will result in a canceled reservation and the passes will be given to the next person.

Passes left in the book drop will incur a minimum of a $10 fine.

Passes not returned on time will be incur a $10 a day fine. After seven (7) days patrons will have to pay the full replacement cost of the pass.

Lost or damaged passes will be billed to the patron at the replacement rate determined by the museum.

If a patron returns a pass late twice they will be banned from using the museum passes for up to 6 months.

Patrons are responsible to verify museum hours, days of operation, directions, parking availability, and cost or charges for special exhibits.

Some museums reserve the right to ask for your library card.

Patrons may borrow one pass per card with the exception of  the Museum of Natural History where two vouchers per library card are permitted.

 

 

What the passes permit:

 

American Museum of Natural History-  1 person per voucher. Two vouchers per library card.

 

Brooklyn Botanic Garden- Two adults per pass. Children under 17 are free. 10% discount at Garden Shop and BBG’s cafe.

 

Children’s Museum of Manhattan- 4 Guest per pass, one pass per family.

 

Intrepid- Sea, Air, & Space Museum- 6 Guest per pass.

 

Ground for Sculpture- 4 Guest per pass. Children under 5 years of age are free. 10% discount in gift shop.

 

Storm King Art Center- 2 Adult per pass and 4 children.
