At this time the library will have limited passes to loan. Patron's will need to schedule their visit to the museum on the museum website before arriving at the museum. 

We hope to be lending out more passes in the future. 

 

Museum Pass Policy

 

Must be a Paramus resident 18 years of age or older.

Must present a valid Photo ID and Paramus Library card in good standing (no fines over $10).

It is suggested that passes are requested the day before your museum visit.

Passes cannot be picked up earlier than the date requested.

Passes are reserved on a first come first served basis.

Passes are loaned for 3 days.

Passes cannot be renewed.

Patrons can only reserve one pass at a time daily.

A pass can only be reserved once every 30 days.

Passes must be returned to a service desk in the library; they cannot be returned to another library or left in the book drop.

Failure to pick up passes at the reserved date and time will result in a canceled reservation, and the passes will be given to the next person.

Failure to pick up passes two (2) times will result in a 6 month suspension from borrowing Museum Passes.

Passes left in the book drop will incur a minimum of a $10 fine.

Passes not returned on time will incur a $10 a day fine. After seven (7) days, patrons will have to pay the full replacement cost of the pass.

Lost or damaged passes will be billed to the patron at the replacement rate determined by the museum.

If a patron returns a pass late twice, they will be banned from using the museum passes for up to 6 months.

Patrons are responsible to verify museum hours, days of operation, directions, parking availability, and cost or charges for special exhibits.

Some museums reserve the right to ask for your library card.

Patrons may borrow one pass per card with the exception of the Museum of Natural History where two vouchers per library card are permitted.

 

Library Hours for Pass Pick Up and Return:

 

Monday- Thursday 9:30am- 8:45pm

 

Friday 9:30am- 5:45pm

 

Saturday 9:30am- 4:45pm

 

Sunday 1pm-4:45pm

 

What the passes permit:

 

American Museum of Natural History-  1 person per voucher. Two vouchers per library card.

 

Intrepid- Sea, Air, & Space Museum- 6 Guest per pass.

 

Guggenheim- 4 Guest per pass, additional guest pay half price, children are free under 12 years old. 10% discount at the gift shop.

 

MoMA- This pass include free admission for the pass holder and up to four (4) guests, free tickets to MoMA film programs, plus discounts on select parking and dining. Oppertunity to purchase up to five $5 guest tickets per person, per visit.10% discount in MoMA Stores.

 

Storm King Art Center- 2 Adults per pass and 4 children.
