The use of this pass entitles library patrons to free museum admission for 4 adults (age 13 and older) OR free admission for a family group consisting of 2 adults and up to 4 children ages 5 through 12. Children under 5 years of age pay no entrance fee. There is also a 10% discount on all merchandise in the Gift Shop.

 All staff and public are required to wear masks when in foyer, gift shop, and museum.  Admissions will take place in the foyer through glass window with one group allowed in the foyer at a time.  Use of credit cards will be encouraged.  Front desk staff will oversee admittance and staggering of patrons.  One family group are allowed in foyer, gift shop, and exhibit alcove at a time.  3-4 family groups in museum at a time.  We ask to limit visit duration to 1.5 hours, if necessary.  If museum is at maximum capacity, we ask that you utilize the nature trails on the preserve, relax in the picnic area (bring a bag lunch), bring binoculars for birdwatching, visit our bird & butterfly friendly gardens and Native American Herb Garden, or visit the shoreline.  Feel free to call the museum at 516-571-8010 ahead of time to check for availability.  Theater and Interactive “Woodland Village” will be closed until further notice.  Directional arrows on carpet will show recommended flow of traffic.  Exhibit cases, glass, windows, doorknobs, buttons, and other surfaces to be cleaned daily and as needed. (normal protocol)  Bathrooms will be cleaned daily (as always) and any additional times as necessary.  We recommend one patron use restrooms at a time, unless parent and child.  Hand sanitizer pumps available at entrance and throughout museum.  GARVIES POINT MUSEUM DAY will be CANCELLED this year.  SUMMER SATURDAY PROGRAMS to be held, please see flyer for changes.
